Please note: The Library is currently undergoing reconstruction. Documents can be accessed via the Topic view. Thank you for your patience as we work to restructure our Library folders and update our resources.

The U.S. Human Rights Online website supports lawyers working to "bring human rights home." Dedicated to supporting the domestic implementation of human rights law, Human Rights Online's library provides model briefs, pleadings and articles on the use of human rights law in U.S. courts. The library also includes information about U.S.human rights treaty obligations, reports on domestic human rights violations, and proceedings involving the U.S. in U.N. and other international forums.

This practice area is hosted by the Human Rights Institute at Columbia Law School.

Unlike some other probono.net sites, U.S. Human Rights Online does not serve as clearinghouse for pro bono work.

Our Library's Indigenous Rights folder was developed in conjunction with Indigenous Rights Watch under the direction of Keli Lovejoy.

If you would like to contribute to the Human Rights Online Library, please email vesqui@law.columbia.edu.

This practice area was initiated by Professor Catherine Powell, former Faculty Director of the Human Rights Institute at Columbia Law School and founder of its Bringing Human Rights Home Project.
