O'Connor Speech Puts Foreign Law Center Stage

Justice Sandra Day O'Connor delivered a speech at a black-tie dinner for the Atlanta-based Southern Center for International Studies where she discussed the Supreme Court's use of foreign law. Discussing recent Court cases citing foreign law, O'Connor remarked that "I suspect that over time, we will rely increasingly -- or take notice at least increasingly -- on international and foreign law in resolving domestic issues."
