Markey Introduces Legislation to Prevent the U.S. from Transferring Prisoners to Nations Known to Practice Torture

Congressman Markey has introduced a bill to end "extraordinary renditions," i.e. extra-judicial removal of persons in US custody to countries that commonly practice torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment during detention or interrogation.
